On behalf of Father Piotr Miodek and the St. John Paul II wardens we would like to extend our heartfelt wishes and prayers to our entire congregation during these trying times.

It is unfortunate that the Government and the Diocese of Montreal have been forced to prohibit large gatherings, including church services, during the pandemic.

Hopefully you have been able to take advantage of TV Masses and services offered on the Internet during this period.

We are presently preparing for the return to the parish, and rest reassured that once we are back physically in the Church, every precaution will be taken to ensure the health and safety of our parishioners.

Last Wednesday the wardens approved the go ahead for much needed and long overdue repairs to the tower located in the south side and for installing a new roof.

During the shutdown the parish has incurred expenses; however, because we are not longer holding Masses we have not received our weekly collections for close to three months.

Although we realize that many of us are going through difficult times during the COVID-19, we are asking parishioners if they could make contributions equal to their normal donations over that period to help defray ongoing costs and assist with the upcoming repairs. You can mail your envelopes to the Church or drop them off at the Rectory on Fridays.  If donations would put a financial burden on your household, please do not contribute at this time.

We are also trying to update our data base of parishioners and would ask you to include your name and e-mail address with your donation.  If you are not able to make a contribution at this time, you could still help us update our files by sending us your email address at mswsm@live.ca

Thank you and God bless
